Our lodges are designed for genuine rest — well-insulated, fully equipped for self-catering, and positioned to make the most of the view. Layouts vary, so each stay feels a little different from the last.

The Snug

A compact one-bedroom lodge built around a wood-burner and a wide window. Everything within reach, nothing more than you need for a quiet couple of nights away.

The Meadow

Two bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and a decked terrace that catches the afternoon light. Room for children to spread out and grown-ups to unwind.

Our largest lodge, set a little apart from the others with the broadest outlook over the valley — well suited to a small group sharing a long weekend.

Between the moor and the sea

Barnstaple sits at the heart of North Devon, with Exmoor rising to the east and the surf beaches of the north coast a short drive west. From the lodges you are within easy reach of both — walking trails, market towns, estuary paths and long stretches of open sand.

Mornings tend to start slowly here. There is no rush to be anywhere, which is rather the point.
